Pilates is a body conditioning routine that helps build flexibility and long, lean muscles, strength and endurance in the legs, abdominals, arms, hips, and back.

It puts emphasis on spinal and pelvic alignment, correct breathing allows adequate oxygen flow to muscles, developing a strong core and improving coordination and balance.

No muscle group is under or over trained. Pilates develops core strength, it enhances flexibility, sure-footedness, agility, and flattens the tummy as well as calming the mind!

We supply equipment specifically designed for different types of Pilates exercise to help you get the most from every session
Exercising with other people is a great way to stay motivated and we’re sure to have a class you’ll just love!

Class descriptions

MAT BASED PILATES – Needs no equipment. These are 30 minute sessions to maintain core strength and flexibility

SMALL EQUIPMENT PILATES – Needs foam roller, massage balls, soft handball and small 1kg weighted balls (Contact Dawn for order details). These are 45 minute sessions to build flexibility and core strength

TABATA – Needs no equipment. These are 30 minute sessions of intense 20 second rounds of exercise. There’s no jumping, Pilates is involved, and be prepared to sweat!

BARRE PILATES – only a chair (or barre) is needed for this class that focuses on core exercises incorporating ballet movements. It is a well rounded intense form of Conditioning Pilates done in a short space of time.
