Dawn Fairey - Business Owner

Dawn started her fitness career in 1986 after a short career as a contemporary dancer, and has been teaching in the Fitness Industry now for 38 years. She is a master trainer, tutor, examiner, and consultant within the industry. She has taught a wide range of fitness classes to the public and is now extremely passionate about ensuring her class members understand the principles of good exercise and how to get the most fun out of their exercise routines.

She has been studio coordinator for David Lloyds Clubs and went on to be group exercise manager for Next Generations clubs which are now under the David Lloyd group.

As an education trainer Dawn has personally been able to guide over six hundred fitness instructors through assessments in order for them to gain the skills and qualifications to be able to teach in the fitness industry. She has also tutored over two hundred students in prisons, with a vast majority of them achieving a level 3 qualification that was often used to rehabilitate and get offenders into teaching adult education.

In 2011, Dawn trained in Pilates with Michael King but has created her own teaching method by taking the latest evidence based research and applying it to the Pilates technique. Dawn’s technique should be used as a training method to compliment other modes of fitness, as a rehabilitation tool for injuries, and to correct poor posture without having to compromise on any of the original goals of Joseph Pilates himself.

With well over 30 fitness qualifications they are too long to list here, but you can rest assured she is more than qualified to give you a safe and effective exercise class with a whole lot – a – laughs on the way!
